Traveling Equipment Needed When Taking Dogs On A Trip

Every once in a while, your dog needs to have fun after staying in the house. This getaway is a treat since they spend most of their time with almost nothing to do. When taking your dog on vacation, traveling would cover the time, and many situations can occur, whether good or bad. However, they can prevent unpleasant situations if the owner is aware and, most importantly, prepared.

Automatically, wherever we go, we have to bring something important, and these items that we carry can benefit us if we need something when we are traveling. Just like dogs, we need to get certain things for them so that they wouldn’t experience such inconvenience that would also affect us.

To prevent any hassles from traveling, you need to take note of the five things listed below; these are the most important practices and items you must bring to ensure your dog’s safety. Doing so would make you and your dog’s trip more enjoyable

  • Connect with your vet

Communicating with your local vet is the first thing you should do; this would ensure your dog is healthy and ready to travel. With that, fewer problems would likely occur because a part of your dog’s safety is assured. Additionally, suppose you want to board your dog any time during your trip or take them to a foreign location. In that case, your veterinarian may need to sign off on various health and documentation requirements.

  • Bring a Leash and a Cage

Leash and cage are non-negotiable items. Every owner needs to bring these two together. If your dog is having too much fun, they may tend to forget their way to their owners; using a leash sometimes would prevent them from getting lost. For the cage, this would serve as their safe space when things get out of hand. They can take their rest here or if your dog is on a break.

  • Get an Anxiety-Reducing Jacket

Thunderstorms and fireworks may happen when traveling. Even though it is unpreventable, you, as an owner, could still do something to protect your dog by getting a jacket that would reduce their anxiety. Witnessing your dog stressed and nervous about specific events during your trip is uncomfortable as an owner, so this item is essential to bring around, especially at night.

  • Carry a Portable Dog Water Bottle

If you are taking your dog with you wherever you go, always bring a portable water bottle for them. When going on a summer trip, exposing them to the sun for a long time may be a risk of dehydration. To reverse its possible harmful effects, never forget to hydrate your dogs every time.

  • Use a Puppy Pad and Waste Bags

Products like these would be convenient for you since untrained dogs tend to go to places to pee and release their wastes. It would be less bother for you during your travel since you came prepared. Using these on your furbabies would be easier and faster for you to clean up their mess. However, if you want to be sustainable, there is nothing wrong with training your puppy; this will benefit both of you.

All the products you can bring don’t merely stop there; these are just a few tips you need to consider getting. Following essential tips for your dog while traveling can make your break worthwhile, worrying less and enjoying more. Make preparing and double-checking a habit when packing for a vacation trip. You might need these things in the long run or in times of trouble for your dogs.

Domestic vs International Travel: Stocks To Watch

After the world shut its borders during the height of the pandemic, consumers are raring to return to the skies. In fact, Expedia Group determined in its Traveler Value Index report that 81% of respondents plan to take at least one vacation within the first six months of 2022.[1]

With so many travel plans in the pipelines over the coming months, airlines will no doubt be looking to capitalize on this rising demand in an effort to rebound from the crippling effects of the pandemic. Whether for domestic or international trips, let’s take a look at some compelling airline stocks to consider investing in as the global travel industry embarks on its recovery.

Southwest Airlines Co (LUV)

While multiple COVID-19 international travel guidelines and restrictions remain in place, some travelers may feel inclined to rather take a domestic trip. One low-cost U.S.-based airline to keep an eye on is Southwest Airlines.

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Southwest Airlines is offering flights across the United States as well as numerous destinations in Mexico and Puerto Rico. Since the height of COVID-19 travel restrictions, Southwest Airlines has managed to embark on a gradual recovery, announcing a quarterly profit in the final quarter of 2021 — the first since the start of the pandemic.[2]

With the airline recently releasing a packed summer 2022 flight schedule and also considering serving alcohol on flights again, Southwest Airlines seems to be a stock worth considering for investors with a domestic travel focus.

Ryanair Holdings Plc (RYAAY)

If you happen to have an interest in exploring European travel trends, then Ryanair is the airline to watch. Based in Dublin, Republic of Ireland, Ryanair offers flights to over 200 destinations across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

To date, the airline has managed to recover significantly since the COVID-19 outbreak, reducing its €321 million loss in the fourth quarter of 2020 to just €96 million during the same period in 2021. What’s more, the airline’s summer bookings for 2022 already exceed those of 2019 by 114%, showing that Ryanair is improving on even its pre-pandemic performance.[3]

Delta Air Lines Inc Del (DAL)

On the international front, the Atlanta, Georgia-based Delta Airlines led the charge towards post-COVID recovery. The airline was named the Top U.S. Airline of 2021 by the Wall Street Journal, particularly thanks to its low cancellation rate during the pandemic and high rate of on-time arrivals and departures.

Recently, the airline innovated its way into news headlines, jetting the U.S. 2022 Olympic Winter Games team off to Beijing and entering into an app partnership with ride sharing service Lyft. The partnership will entail providing Delta passengers with flight updates via their Lyft app as they travel to the airport via a Lyft vehicle.

International Consolidated Airlines Group S.A. (IAG SM)

If you view diversification as a priority, then stocks from International Airlines Group (IAG) are worth considering. This airline holding company consists of subsidiaries such as British Airways, flagship Spanish airline Iberia, and Irish flagship airline Aer Lingus.

Several of IAG’s airlines are showing strong signs of recovery. British Airways recently decided to reinstate its policy of handing out free snacks after a six-year hiatus, while the airline’s CEO recently suggested that BA has plans to become a “more premium” airline.

Fellow IAG subsidiary Aer Lingus entered into a codeshare partnership with American Airlines, enabling American customers to book trips to Dublin, London Heathrow, and other European cities without booking separate tickets for each leg of the trip.

Iberia has recommenced flights to almost every destination that it operated prior to the pandemic outbreak, with the airline ramping up transatlantic flights to areas such as Argentina. With its subsidiaries each rebuilding their businesses following the pandemic, IAG is a diversified investment choice.

easyJet (EZJ LN)

This British-based low-cost airline flies to destinations across Europe as well as selected parts of North Africa and the Middle East. While the rapid spread of the omicron variant resulted in a few challenging months for the airline, easyJet projects that it is on the path to a strong rebound going into the summer of 2022.

The budget carrier announced that it has realized a surge in ticket sales from UK travelers, with UK-based customers outnumbering Europeans customers for the first time since spring 2020.[4]

Clearing the runway

As travel restrictions continue to be lifted and consumers express a rising interest in booking vacations and other trips, airlines at large are embarking on the road to recovery. This movement suggests that an uptick in share prices may be on the horizon, giving investors the push they need to consider what airline stocks might be worth a look.

Beginning in the first quarter of 2020, financial markets in the United States and around the world experienced extreme volatility and severe losses due to the global pandemic caused by COVID‑19, a novel coronavirus. Arlo Hotels on why Chinatown is a must-visit if you are in NY

Chinatown is one of the best neighborhoods in New York City. It’s got a great atmosphere, and there are always plenty of things to do. In today’s blog post, we at Arlo Hotels share some of the best parts about Chinatown:

  1. The Food: Chinatown is famous for its delicious food. There are tons of restaurants serving up all types of cuisine, from Chinese (of course) to Thai to Japanese.
  2. The Shopping: Chinatown is a great place to shop for souvenirs or just for everyday items. There are lots of stores selling everything from clothes to electronics to jewelry.
  3. The Culture: Chinatown is home to a large population of Asian immigrants, so it’s a great place to experience Asian culture. There are temples and markets and even a street full of fortune-tellers.
  4. The Environment: Chinatown has it all — good food, lovely parks, and lots of outdoor activities. Depending on your preference, you can spend your day in the sun or out of it. There are also festivals going on all year round, with opportunities for everyone to join in.
  5. The Transportation: Getting around in Chinatown is a breeze because there’s a subway station right in the neighborhood. It’s also a huge plus that it’s easy to get anywhere you want in New York from there.

Moreover, here are some of the best places to visit in the vicinity of Chinatown NYC as voted by us here at Arlo Hotels:

  1. The Financial District: The Financial District is just south of Chinatown, full of towering skyscrapers and Wall Street. This stretch is a nice place to walk around and take in the sights.
  2. SoHo: North of Chinatown is SoHo, known for its trendy art galleries, restaurants, and shops. It’s a great place to wander around and explore.
  3. Central Park: Central Park is one of the most famous parks in the world, and it’s just a short walk from Chinatown. There’s constantly something amazing going on in the park, whether it’s ice skating in the winter or concerts in the summer.

While there are so many other great neighborhoods in New York City, Chinatown definitely stands out as one of the best — and there’s an Arlo Hotel nearby as well.

5 Things to Know Before Your Next Hunting Trip

C:\Users\Bala\Downloads\Hunting Trip.jpg

Hunting is not for the weak-hearted, and it is not an easy job to do. There are many hurdles in your path, and you need to face all the challenges during hunting. Before you go on your next hunting trip, there are a lot of things that you need to make sure and get done for a successful hunting trip.

This article will be a complete guide; we will talk about the important things that you need to know before your next hunting trip.

Five Things You Need To Know Before a Hunting Trip

Let’s look at the important things that you need to keep in your mind before you go out there to hunt below.

1. Tag and License

Ensure that you have a license for hunting if you are looking forward to hunting on your next trip. Even if you are not planning to hunt and want to carry weapons with you, then you need to have a license to carry the ammunition with you in that particular area.

The paperwork and documentation will be different depending upon the location where you are planning to go. It is crucial to fulfilling all the state’s legal requirements and regulations in which you reside regarding the weapons you will be carrying with you on your trip!

You might also need to purchase a tag if you are looking forward to hunting animals.

2. Tools and Equipment

Ensure that you are familiar with all the tools and equipment you will need during your hunting trip. Whether you will be using a rifle or a bow, make sure that you know how to use it beforehand because you do not want to experiment on the field. Many hunting camps will teach you the basics of hunting before you head out.

Make sure that you improve your ability to hunt before you go on a hunting trip. Doing this will boost your confidence in the long run as well.

3. Scouting

Make sure that you gain enough information and knowledge about the locality where you are going hunting. You need to have an idea about the land where you will be spending most of your time to take advantage of your knowledge during the hunting session. Doing some research about the area will also increase the chances of you getting a lot of animals.

4. Necessities for Hunting

Pack all the necessities and essentials that you will need during your hunting session and trip. You need to have your hunting equipment and gear with you at all times so that you do not have to worry about anything during your hunting trip. Make sure that you pack things like tents, tools, and other equipment.

5. Clothing

The most important thing when you are going hunting is your clothing. If you wonder why invest in quality hunting camo when you can wear normal clothing, you need to know its importance. Wearing good camouflage will improve your chances of a successful hunt and it will also trap your body odor which can be a warning signal for the prey.

Hunting trips are best when they are planned well in advance. Take your time; read more about the habitat and the animal before you start your hunting expedition.

Tips to Having an Unforgettable Vacation Bible School Experience

Vacation bible school programs can be a great way to get reconnected with your faith, God’s love, and your bible community. If you or your child or family will be attending a vacation bible camp this summer, there are ways you can ensure one of the best vacation bible camps yet.

By planning ahead, making the most of those connections, and finding the perfect camp for you, you’ll be sure to have an experience you’ll treasure forever. For ways to have an unforgettable vacation bible school experience, read on.

Capture the experience.

img

Most bible vacations come with a variety of fun activities you’ll participate in with friends from all over the country. For this reason, it’s a great idea to bring with you a quality camera so you can save memories you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

To ensure your memories are preserved from your vacation bible study or bible camp, consider renting a limited edition camera like red Komodo to take the best pictures possible. In renting your photography equipment instead of buying it, you’ll be able to save money you can put toward something else without sacrificing the quality of your print and digital photos.

Maybe you’re bringing the whole family with you and you know other families coming to this year’s vacation bible study. Perhaps you homeschool your children together under a Christian curriculum. If your children are friends but don’t get to see each other often, taking those quality pictures will be important for maintaining friendships down the road. While memories might fade, having mementos from shared memories is a great way to remind your children about the friends they’ve made and get them excited for future vacation bible groups or camps.

Do your research ahead of time.

img

If you or your family has never attended a vacation bible school, it’s a good idea to do some research ahead of time to make sure it’s the right vacation bible school for you. Start with your local church and ask your pastor, priest, or another religious leader who they recommend for your spiritual adventure. Doing this ahead of time will save you the trouble of finding out you’ve landed on the wrong vacation bible camp for you or your family.

For example, making the effort to travel to a vacation bible school or camp and learning that the camp offers a different religious perspective would make the trip less satisfying than if you’re traveling to a VBS program tailored for you and your belief system.

Stay connected before and after camp.

img

While they can’t replace the scripture, activity books, and lessons you’ll learn, the friends you make in vacation bible school will have the potential to be lifelong friends. In sharing the same belief system and values, it’s likely that you and the people you meet will have more in common than not. To make the most of your important bible school experience, do what you can to stay connected to VBS friends before and after your trip. Join common social media or chat groups and take time between vacations to catch up. In sharing yourself and your life before and after VBS, your connections will be all the richer.

In the end, meeting with like-minded people to talk about God’s word and encourage each other in a faith journey is a great way to spend vacations any time of the year. As you head off to your vacation bible study program this year, make sure to attend with an open mind and plans to stay connected. Odds are, the experience will be one you and your whole family will never forget.

Road Tripping With Your Truck This Summer? Here Are 7 Tips for Optimal Storage

When the open road is calling and your truck is itching for a road trip, it’s time to pack. Use these seven tips to get the most out of your truck cargo space. From a BAKFlip MX4 tonneau cover to specialized truck bed cargo organizers, find out how to pack up all your road trip essentials.

1. Tonneau Cover

The quintessential storage solution, a tonneau cover is a secure and convenient way to cover your belongings in the back of your truck. BAK truck bed covers can lock to prevent theft and give you the flexible room for any items you may need, but a tonneau alone doesn’t give you much organization to optimize your storage space.

2. Truck Tool Box

A tool box offers a great way to separate items in the back of your truck. Instead of tossing everything in the bed and listening to it roll around during your road trip, place fragile items, tools or camping gear in your tool box. Be sure to pick up a tonneau cover that fits around your tool box.

3. Cargo Net

For budget-friendly road tripping, a cargo net is an alternative to a tonneau cover. A net won’t give you much security, but it can be adjusted down tightly to straight in large items. It’s a good alternative if you have weather-resistant packs, tents and a charcoal grill for your road trip, but be prepared to have some rain and sun exposure on your belongings.

4. Tool Box Storage Trays and Bags

Upgrade your organization with trays and bags in your tool box. These handy items further separate your belongings for ease of storage. Use separate bags for everyone to pack their clothes and stow them in the tool box, or organize camping items for easy access on the road.

5. Roof-Top Storage

When your truck bed just isn’t enough to handle all your road trip essentials, add a roof-top storage container on your truck. A soft-sided bag is an affordable option for a few durable items, but a hard-sided storage container offers maximum protection and storage convenience.

6. Roll-Out Organizers

A tonneau cover protects your items from weather and would-be thieves, but it doesn’t do much in terms of organization. Thankfully, you can purchase roll-out organizational shelving designed to fit the dimensions of your truck bed.

These systems transform your truck bed into a rolling set of drawers that are easy to open and close as needed. Separate everyone’s clothing, camping gear and other items.

7. Cab Storage Solutions

Don’t forget about the cab of your truck. Even if your cab is full of passengers, there are several areas where you can place cargo management boxes. Purchase a lock box to secure valuables in your truck cab while you drive. Seat-back organizers allow you to easily secure bug spray, sunscreen and other small items you may need throughout your trip.

Purchase Storage Items for an Unforgettable Road Trip

Prepare for your next road trip the right way with a BAK tonneau cover and other helpful organizational items. Shop online today to check out ratings and reviews on name-brand accessories for your truck.

Rose Burillo – Classic Mexican Dishes To Try, But Only In Mexico

Much like pizzas and curries, Mexican food can be found all over the world but they almost always taste better in the country in which they originated. This is not to say that Mexican food hasn’t travelled well, because there are some great offerings around the world, but in my view, nothing tastes as good as it does in Mexico itself.

Having traveled extensively around Mexico I have been fortunate enough to try a wide variety of its dishes and various takes on those dishes, and for me, these are the finest dishes to try inside the country itself.

Pozole

Pozole is a heartwarming stew which is made from maize kernels, served in a hot tomato sauce with meat, usually shredded chicken. What I love about this dish in particular is the way that you can build it to create a flavorsome and varied dish. When you get the pozole you have the option of adding lettuce, sliced radish, raw onion, cilantro and some spicy sauce, not to mention of course the limes. This is the ideal dish if you want to fill yourself up with some comfort food.

Barbacoa

It would make little sense for me to write ‘tacos’ here on this list, because there are just so many to choose from. One of my favorite kinds of tacos however are barbacoa, which is slow cooked mutton. Usually you will only find this available on a weekend, and for that reason it is often associated with hangover food. This label however does the meal some level of injustice because it is far more than this. The best kind of barbacoa to get is the kind which has been slow cooked in a traditional earth oven, this ensures that the meat is soft and supple. When you order your tacos, be sure to get the ‘consomme’ which is a soup that has been made from the fat and juices from the meat, served with chick peas and onion, delicious.

Chile en Nogada

If you are lucky enough to be in Mexico during the poblano chili season then this is the dish which you simply have to try. Mexican chef Rose Burillo actually put me on to Chile en Nogada, a dish which features a large poblano chili which is stuffed with a mixture of cooked minced beef and onions. Once stuffed the chili is covered in sour cream and then scattered with pomegranate seeds, and sometimes some nuts. The mixture of heat, salt and sweetness here is what makes this dish truly iconic. Many suggest that this should be the national dish given that it features the three colors of the Mexican flag, with the green of the chili, the red of the pomegranate and the white of the cream.

Have you tried any of these dishes in Mexico before? Would you agree that dishes like these just taste better in their home country? Let us know what you think about them in the comments below, and if we have missed out your faves, be sure to comment.

Do You Need a Visitor Visa?

Typically, individuals who wish to enter the U.S. will be required to obtain a visitor visa if they intend to stay temporarily for tourism or business purposes. However, some visitors may qualify for the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) that enables them to stay for 90 days without a visa.

To determine whether individuals qualify for the program, it’s important to understand the different types of visitor visas and the circumstances that warrant a waiver.

The Types of Visitor Visas

When foreigners want to gain entry into the country as visitors they typically need to obtain a visitor visa. The specific type of visitor visa will depend on the individual’s reason for entering the U.S.

Business (B-1) Visas

Foreigners will want to obtain a B-1 visitor visa if they are in the country for business purposes. These purposes may include consulting with business associates, settling an estate, negating contracts, or attending a convention or conference for business, education, scientific, or professional reasons.

Tourism (B-2) Visas

If individuals want to come to the U.S. for tourism-related purposes, they will need to obtain a B-2 tourist visa. These visas are reserved for foreigners visiting for tourism, holidays or vacations, visits with family or friends, medical care, participation in social events, participating as unpaid amateur performers in sports or other events, or enrollment in brief recreational unaccredited studies.

Other Types of Visas

Individuals will need to seek another type of visa if they want to enter the U.S. for other reasons. Other nonimmigrant or immigrant visas will apply if individuals wish to study, find work, participate in paid performances, or live in the U.S. It’s also important to note that individuals coming to the U.S. for birth tourism won’t qualify for visitor visas.

What Is the Visa Waiver Program?

For some individuals traveling to the U.S., it may be possible to enter without a visitor visa through the Visa Waiver Program. Developed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the State Department, citizens from 39 listed countries can use this program to travel to the U.S. for either tourism or business for up to 90 days without obtaining a visitor visa.

The visit is done in exchange for allowing U.S. nationals and citizens to travel to the same 39 countries for the equivalent amount of time without requiring a tourism or business visa.

Exceptions to the Visa Waiver Program

While individuals from the 39 listed countries are permitted to enter the U.S. for tourism or business without a visitor visa, there are exceptions. First, nationals from these countries won’t qualify for the program if they have traveled to or been present in Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Syria, Somalia, Yemen, or North Korea on or following March 1, 2011, with some exceptions. Nationals from these countries will also be unable to enter without a visitor visa if they are also nationals of Iraq, Iran, Syria, North Korea, or Sudan.

Individuals can visit the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website for more details about VWP and apply if they qualify. Otherwise, they may need to apply for a visitor visa.

The most important thing you can do to make sure you and your family have a good time at Disney World is to start early. We cannot stress this enough: a truly magical Disney experience depends on early, thorough planning.

The parks are such a popular destination that it’s nearly impossible to show up to the park and experience the attractions you’re interested in without planning. Plus, your mealtime experience depends on early planning as well.

Start at least a year in advance!

2. Determine Your Budget

As soon as you’ve decided that you want to take a trip to Disney, decide how much you want to spend. If you can drive to Disney, you can expect to spend at least $2,000 for a trip that lasts 5 days.

That price includes lodging at an inexpensive resort, 2 days at the theme park, and quick-service dining.

The Walt Disney World website has a great resource for helping you decide on a budget ahead of time.

3. Make Reservations

Around 9-12 months before your vacation, decide what hotel reservations you would like. There are a ton of resorts in the area that you can stay in, but you need to then factor in parking and travel to the park.

If you’re a member of the Disney Vacation Club, you can collect points for staying on-site in a Disney resort.

A lot of the Disney experience rests in the top-notch guest treatment that you get at the resorts and you can get great meal deals when you stay at a Disney resort.

You can also check existing confirmed DVC reservations for some good deals!

4. Pick Your Parks

At the same time that you decide on your hotel reservations, decide which parks you want to visit. Decide how many days you want to spend in each park and whether or not you’d like to add a Park Hopper option. This lets you jump between parks each day that you visit.

You don’t have to purchase your tickets this far in advance, but knowing which parks you want to attend lets you pick your dining options later on down the line.

5. Travel Ticket Time

7-8 months before your vacation, establish your travel dates. If you’re coming from far away, now is the time to purchase those tickets.

Popular dates and times fill up fast. You could always try to wait for a last-minute deal, but you run the risk of not being able to travel with your family members and there’s no guarantee that you will find a less expensive ticket.

6. Craft Your Itinerary

Around the time you make your travel plans, start to think of the basic shape you want your vacation to take.

This includes nailing down the time you’ll arrive, check in to your hotel, and what each day will consist of. Be specific about which parks you would like to visit each day, where you plan to eat, and which attractions you’ll see.

Don’t forget to make time for Disney Springs and other activities you’ll want to participate in while you’re in Florida!

7. The Dining Experience

Exactly 180 days before your check-in, you absolutely need to nail down your dining plans.

There’s a technique to this to make sure you get the dining reservations you want. Many Disney dining services are in high demand and as soon as Disney is open for reservations 180 days before your park visit, people are manning the phones in an attempt to get a good reservation.

At exactly 7 AM, 180 days before your trip to that specific park, jump on the computer or the telephone to book your desired dining reservation.

Don’t be too disappointed if you wind up not getting the reservation you want. There are some super high-demand locations that are nearly impossible to secure reservations with.

8. FastPass+

Now that you know when you’ll visit each park and where you’re going to eat, you can pick the attractions that are the most important to you.

Disney has an awesome system called FastPass+where you can choose to secure your place in line for different attractions.

You can only have a certain number of attractions secured on your FastPass at a time, but knowing which major attractions you want to see and when can help you plan your movements in the park each day.

9. Pack

Now all that’s left to do is pack! Make sure you bring plenty of comfortable shoes, sun protection, and a few extra pairs of sunglasses.

Some of the items that people most typically forget are medication, underwear, chargers, and hygiene products. Make yourself a list and pack ahead of time to ensure that you don’t leave anything important behind!

How to Plan a Trip to Disney World

Now that you know how to plan a trip to Disney World, you’ve got a basic understanding of exactly how complicated the process can be. You’re ready to get started on the adventure of a lifetime!

Many people find it easier to hire a Disney expert to plan their trip for them. There’s definitely an art form to planning and preparing for a trip to the most magical place on earth!
