This September marks the highly anticipated EA Sports FIFA 20 release. The game is set to launch on PC and consoles on September 27th. This football game series is by far the most popular sports game on the planet. However, every year fans of football are looking for some new reasons to get the new FIFA game. Well, FIFA 20 has plenty of new things to offer.
- Volta Football
One of the biggest selling points prior to EA Sports FIFA 20 release is the new game mode called Volta Football. If you’ve never heard of it, we’re not surprised. Essentially it a new game mode that simulates street football and offers a new twist to the familiar FIFA experience.
Volta Football players will be able to show off their skills in various different modes such as 3v3 Rush (no goalies), 4v4, 4v4 Rush, 5v5 and Professional Futsal. EA Sports will introduce plenty of new and cool looking pitches and stadiums special for the mode.
The developers promised that Volta Football will feature its own campaign mode, online leagues and more. We should also add that for the first time in the series, Volta will allow players to form mixed teams, meaning that you’ll be able to have male and female players on your side.
- Career Mode
Speaking of gender roles, we must highlight the fact that EA Sports FIFA 20 release will feature some long-awaited changes to the Career Mode. Players will be able to create a female avatar in Manager Career, which is a step towards bringing more female football representation in the game.
However, new avatar options are just cosmetics. Managers and players will get a lot of cool gameplay improvements. With FIFA 20, our managers and players will be able to attend dynamic pre-match and post-match press conferences, one-on-one interviews and so on.
You should also consider the fact that these conversations will significantly impact the players’ morale. For example, high morale rating will boost players’ attributes, while nearing towards the downside might result in fatigue, poor performance, which then could lead to lower results all across the season.
- Pro Clubs
EA Sports FIFA 20 release will also bring a lot of improvements to a beloved online Pro Clubs game mode. EA Sports said that with FIFA 20, a new Avatar system will replace a regular player creator across the entire game including Pro Clubs. This should bring more ways to design your Virtual Pros.
In addition, Pro Clubs will also include some long-requested tweaks to match broadcast. The developers implemented replay transition wipes, an on-screen watermark, club banners, and a new Pro Clubs logo. The club banners are influenced and defined by a team’s primary and secondary colors and the name of the club will be featured on the stands.
- New AI
Every year, FIFA gets some improvements on the game’s AI but with EA Sports FIFA 20 release, bots are said to be much smarter and much more reactive. From now on, computer-controlled players will be able to defend without us even intervening. The developers of the game said that with the new game debuts the new ‘planned tackling’ feature, allowing AI to tackle on their own.
Another area that received some love from the developers is the so-called one-on-one scenario. From now on, Goalkeepers should feel more like real-life players instead of superhumans that are able to deflect the majority of shots in one-on-one scenarios. According to EA Sports, players now will be able to score more consistently.
- Other improvements
According to the development team, there are plenty of other changes that are coming to the game with EA Sports FIFA 20 release. For almost a year the team has been gathering feedback and tweaking stuff based on the feedback received from the players.
Game pacing, shooting, and passing, etc. received a lot of love and should easily please the most hardcore FIFA series fans. EA Sports has dedicated a lot of time to make the new FIFA 20 game feel even more realistic, bringing it ever closer to the real thing.
While the release of the game is still a month and a half away, fans of the series can expect more news in the upcoming weeks. However, from what we gathered until now, FIFA 20 seems like a game worth every penny.
