Bespoke Engagement Rings

I think bespoke engagement rings are something I could get on board with. Yes, they’re more expensive because they’re personalised, but they’re also more meaningful. Someone who loves you has gone out of his or her way to pick out even the smallest of details when designing your bespoke engagement ring –the ring that will forever symbolize and memorialize the day you two each declare you’re ‘it’ for one another. When you think about it, all actual engagement proposals are bespoke in nature because they are crafted by one partner specifically for the other partner. They’re heartfelt and sentimental; they’re momentous and beautiful; they’re the start of a lasting promise.

Diamonds are supposed to be forever, right? So, if the ring is forever, why not make it as heartfelt, sentimental, momentous, and beautiful as the proposal is, so that all that joy and love can last forever and sweep you back off your feet whenever you look down at your custom (bespoke) engagement ring?

Personalisation has been a trend and a norm since men and women starting monogramming their hankies back in the day. Now there are entire businesses and websites devoted to their claim that they can personalise anything, and they do mean anything. If someone is vain enough to want monogrammed bed sheets, pajamas, and even underwear, then why is it so outlandish to think that a person might want to either:

  1. Have a custom-designed bespoke engagement ring (especially considering that someone went to all the effort, thought, sentiment, and trouble to design and present you with a completely custom token of love and commitment), or
  2. Present a custom-designed bespoke engagement ring to the person with whom they desire to spend the rest of their life?

Ponder that while we circle back to this idea of proposals being the epitome of bespoke–personalised, customised, and just for…you. Do you know that Promposals are a thing now? An actual honest-to-goodness thing. Teenagers across the globe are setting up grand and elaborate musical numbers, public declarations, and confetti-filled-anythings just to ask someone to go to prom, and the kicker is, most of these prom-going pairs have already agreed to attend the event together, and the entire Promposal is pro forma!

Jewellers now have specialised services precisely for customers who want to design a custom bespoke engagement ring. And if you have a picture in your mind, but have little to no idea how to help someone else see that picture, then have no fear. ReveDiamonds.com has a particularly detailed and easy-to-use online design page. The service is organised in such a way that you can choose from hundreds of designs for every aspect of the ring’s design–everything from stone shape, gem, claw setting, style (cluster, art deco, victorian, etc…), band style, diamond setting, etc…and just like that, you’re designing the ring of your partner’s dreams.

So, ignore any of the so-called nay-sayers, and remember just how much devoted effort and adoration went into that ring and that moment. And never forget to love every bit of it.

Best Cruiser Riding Gear {for Fall Riding}

Don’t let a little cool weather dampen your cruise. Whether you’re navigating busy traffic downtown or setting a course across the country, cruise comfortably this fall with the best cruiser riding gear. Find the right layers, jackets and boots to keep you comfortable and confident on the road.

The Best Fall Jackets

When you ride in the fall, you need to be prepared for all types of weather. From crisp morning to hot and humid afternoons and back to chilly evenings, you need gear that can handle a wide range of temperatures and weather patterns. Depending on your region, you can expect rain, snow or high winds.

The best cruiser jackets for fall rides incorporate versatile options and materials to prepare you for any event. Waterproof outer layers are often supplemented by an insulating liner. Find a jacket that has a removable liner or that is spacious enough for you to wear additional layers underneath. That way, you’ll be prepared for anything you face on the open road.

Layers of Warmth

There’s a range of layers available to keep you comfortable this fall. From heated jacket and pants liners and balaclavas to cool, breathable shirts and riding pants, choose the perfect layers to handle all weather patterns.

While you’re shopping for the latest motorcycle aftermarket parts on sale, consider how you can prepare your bike for a fall drive. Invest in a new windshield to avoid blinding rain or insects, and grab a waterproof cover to keep your gear dry.

The Perfect Cruising Helmets

Fall cruiser helmets are an unusual breed. You’re looking for a helmet that’s protective enough for long rides in cool weather, but also breathable enough to keep you comfortable as temperatures unexpectedly soar. You don’t want to buy two helmets for the same trip, so invest in headgear that can handle a range of temperatures.

Consider a helmet with breathing ports and removable breathing covers to keep up the trend of flexible riding gear. Other cruiser helmets have removable shields and visors to adjust your headgear accordingly. Test out your helmet to make sure it’s comfortable before hitting the road for a long trip.

Gloves, Boots and Other Accessories

Keep those digits warm and comfortable on your long drive. While temperatures may not have hit freezing yet, you’ll regret hitting the road without purchasing insulated gloves and comfortable riding boots. Cold weather boots are often restrictive of movement, so find a brand that retains the flexibility you need for long-haul road trips.

Some riding gloves are designed for extreme temperatures, while others offer a more moderate approach. Protect your hands and enjoy a comfortable ride by choosing a pair of gloves with a light or removable liner.

Don’t forget to keep a strong theme and consistent style in your riding gear. Cruisers see plenty of traffic, so gear up in a unified way to blend in with your bike. As you gear up, don’t forget to purchase the essential components your bike needs, like the best OEM parts for Kawasaki Ninja 500R. Match your bike and enjoy a professional look, comfortable feel and unforgettable ride.

How to Stage Your Apartment to Attract Renters

The practice of staging real estate for sale or rent has been around since the seventies, but it only picked up steam in the last decade or so. The reason it’s a growing trend is because most agents agree it’s an effective form of advertising and completely worth the cost. Staging an apartment might even be a little easier and less expensive than staging homes for sale because your units are probably just alike. This means you can either use the same decor over and over, or you can keep one unit staged for tours. Either way, you should take the time and care to do it right. If you don’t feel you have the eye for making the space attractive to renters, consider hiring a professional to get the job done.

Keep it simple

You don’t need much decor to make a great first impression. In fact, you want to keep the unit as clean and decluttered as possible. Little things, like a “welcome” doormat at the front entrance and a bouquet of fresh flowers on the counter will make potential tenants want to fill out a rental application before they leave the property, which should be a breeze when you opt to use landlord software services. The furnishings should also be simple. A couch, side chair, and coffee table are probably all you need for the living room. In the bathroom, you can hang clean, white towels on the rods. A bed that’s neatly covered with fluffy linens will make the bedroom an inviting place to be. And the kitchen needs little more than a neatly folded dish towel by the sink or hanging on the oven.

Don’t neglect the walls

Bare walls do little for any space. They can make a room feel cold and without personality.

It’s important to be careful with what you display, though. Try to find simple, elegant prints with mild colors and no controversial images. If you have trouble finding anything appropriate or affordable, you can opt to have a canvas print made from artwork online. This art should complement the space without overpowering it. One large print behind the couch is usually much more appealing than small ones scattered around the room.

Deep clean

If someone just moved out that the apartment, make sure that it is deep cleaned. One of the biggest deterrents of a potential buyer or renter is filth, and if they notice dirty windows your crew overlooked, or filthy cabinets, they’re likely to walk away. Cleaning is more than making sure the space looks good, however. Bad odors can reveal poor housekeeping practices faster than a dusty counter. If you notice even the faintest odor, try to eliminate it by having the carpets professionally cleaned or sanitizing the area it’s coming from. Don’t just try to cover it up. Strong deodorizers can sometimes be just as offensive.

Use high-quality furniture

If you use the same furniture for every staging, this expense shouldn’t be too high. You can even get away with using one or two quality pieces mixed in with some lower-quality ones as long as they look good. In the bedroom, for example, you can set an air mattress on top of crates and pass it as a bed in a guest room — as long as you cover the entire thing with nice linens. The dining room set and living room sofa should be chosen carefully, though. Since they stand alone, your renters will notice them first.

These things don’t have to cost you a fortune. Many furniture stores will rent out their best pieces for stagings and even deliver and set it all up. Some of them may even be willing to work out a deal with you that you will exclusively advertise their merchandise in exchange for letting you use it.

Top 3 Things to Remember When Planning the Big Day

When planning a wedding, there are a million little things to think about. It makes sense that a few small details may fall through the cracks. However, some of the smallest details can end up becoming the most critical to the success of your Big Day. Here are three important details to help make the day enjoyable for both you and your guests.

1. Sufficient Postage for Invitations

Many brides opt for elaborate invitations in large or irregularly shaped envelopes. It makes sense that you want your invitations to grab people’s attention, but before you mail them out, make sure that you check with the post office about any extra postage required to mail them. The U.S. Postal Service has some very strict rules, and you don’t want to impede or delay delivery of your invitations because of insufficient postage.

2. Abundant Seating for Guests

Wedding rentals in Austin should be able to provide adequate seating to accommodate all of your guests at both the ceremony and the reception. However, guests who do not know each other well may feel uncomfortable sitting directly next to each other at the ceremony. You can put your guests more at ease by ordering some extra chairs to allow for more personal space. Arrange for 20 more chairs than you have confirmed guests.

3. Clear Instructions for Your DJ

In addition to telling your DJ which songs to play, particularly during reception highlights like the father-daughter dance, you should also make out a list of the songs you do not want the DJ to play under any circumstances. Your wedding is your special day, but nothing can ruin the occasion like a song you don’t like, or worse, one that embarrasses you.

No Need To Go It Alone

Planning your wedding is exciting, but it can also be overwhelming. Fortunately, you needn’t handle everything yourself. Professional wedding planners, friends, and family are always there to help you. Find out how Archive Rentals in Austin can assist in creating a one-of-a-kind event.

Top 4 Tips for Keeping Your Budget in Order for Home Renovations

When it comes to home renovation, thoughts of brand-new furniture, fixtures, and paint are the things that usually come to mind. However, the biggest challenge that they often present is how to pay for everything without breaking the bank in the process. While it may not necessarily be the most exciting part, it’s crucial to invest time in planning these types of projects and making sure that no stone is left unturned. To this end, here are some tips to help you keep your budget in order when tackling renovations.

  1. Never buy the first thing that you see

From the furniture and fixtures needed to the equipment and materials that the project may require, it’s a general rule of thumb to never buy the first thing that you see. Instead, look around first and do some research. In this way, you’re far more likely to find great money-saving deals and cheaper alternatives like delectable bedroom sets collections, resulting in lower expenditure and better savings. As small as this might be, it can make all the difference in keeping the costs from spiraling out of control.

  1. Practice restraint during the bidding process

Depending on the scale of your home renovation, there’s a good chance that you’ll likely need the expertise of professional contractors to complete the project. But before you make a decision on whose services to acquire, it’s important to practice restraint and be patient during the bidding process. Doing so may sound time-consuming and tedious, but it can provide valuable insight and lead you to the right people. More importantly, it also provides leverage that can help drive down the labor costs too.

  1. Don’t bite off more than you can chew

There is a good reason why many homeowners are eager to do a lot of the work themselves: it can reduce labor costs considerably. However, it’s crucial to know which tasks you can do on your own and which jobs are best left in the hands of professionals. Knowing when to take the DIY approach and when to invest inspecialist services can go a long way not just in getting better results but also in minimizing the chances of making costly mistakes.

  1. Take it one project at a time

While tackling multiple areas during a renovation may appear to be a productive approach, doing so can quickly eat into your budget. As such, it makes sense to start with one project at a time as it will allow the renovation to be completed much faster and give you better control over your expenses.

It’s a lot more difficult to stay within budget during a renovation than most people often think. But by keeping these top tips in mind, not only will you ensure that the project maintains a consistently high level of productivity, but you will also keep your budget in order as well.

7 Ways to Protect Your Skin

Too much sun exposure can cause skin cancer and other skin problems. Although people with lighter skin tone are more prone to developing skin cancer than those with a darker complexion, it’s imperative that you take care of your skin and avoid too much sun exposure regardless of your skin’s color. There are different things you can do in order to decrease your chances of developing skin cancer and maintain healthy and glowing skin.

1. Wear a hat and sunglass when you plan on spending extended periods of time outdoors

It’s well worth getting into the habit of wearing a hat and sunglass when you spend extended periods of time outdoors especially in summer. This is to prevent your skin from prematurely aging and developing sunspots.

2. Use sunscreen lotion on a daily basis

Another way to protect your skin from the sun’s UV rays is to start wearing a sunscreen lotion with high SPF or those with at least an SPF 30 rating on a daily basis. This acts as a shield against the sun’s harmful UV rays and can help prevent developing skin cancer.

3. Make an effort to wear makeup products that offers SPF protection

If you wear makeup on a regular basis it’s also a smart idea to select makeup products that boast SPF protection. As an example, you may not be aware that a lot of makeup products such as tinted moisturizers and foundations boast SPF protection.

Just remember that even if a makeup product offers SPF protection, it should be used in conjunction with sunscreen and not as a replacement for high quality, trustworthy sunscreen lotion.

4. Use lightening creams for dark spots

Uneven skin or hyperpigmentation is sometimes caused by too much exposure from the sun. This can fade away by using lightening creams to brighten the dark spot on your skin. This could also be used in other skin problems such as age spots, acne scars, and other blemishes.

5. Avoid the sun during the hottest part of the day

When it comes to protecting your skin from the sun your best bet is to avoid spending time in direct sunlight from 10 am to 3 pm when the sun is at its strongest. As an example, if you enjoy swimming in summer, especially when you’re on vacation, it’s a great idea to swim early in the morning and late in the afternoon, in order to protect your skin from UV rays.

6. Use a lip balm with an SPF rating to protect your lips

Did you know that your lips can be damaged from the sun’s UV rays too? In order to protect your lips from the sun, it’s a great idea to apply a lip balm with an SPF rating on a daily basis. If you wear lipstick on a regular basis, simply apply your lip balm over your lipstick.

7. Use aloe vera gel on your skin after being out on the sun

In order to soothe and to minimize any long term damage to your skin, it’s a wise idea to have aloe vera on hand after spending a few hours out in the sun.

If you follow all 7 of the skin tips listed above, you should have no trouble protecting your skin from long term skin damage!

Summer Activities to Burn Off Energy On Rainy Days

Summer vacation time is almost here and if you’re dreading the idea of your kids sitting around the house moaning and complaining that they’re bored for weeks on end, it’s time to find some exciting ideas for activities that will allow them to burn off some energy. If it’s raining outside it can be difficult to think of how you’re going to keep your children occupied, but luckily, we’re here to give you some helpful advice so you can have a stash of suggestions in mind whenever you hear those words that strike fear into the heart of every parent – “Mom, what are we doing today?”

Balloon Tennis

If it’s too wet outdoors to go and play regular tennis, fear not! Balloon tennis is the ideal alternative and is safe to play in the house. Simply get some balloons, cut some paddles out of stiff cardboard and you’ll be good to go! See how many passes the kids can make before dropping the balloon. This is a particularly good game for younger children since it takes longer for a balloon to float down to the paddle than a regular tennis ball to a racket.

Jump It

This version of Dodgeball is easy to play indoors with a soft foam ball from any toy store. All of the same rules apply as to the original Dodgeball game, but since the ball is soft and squishy it won’t break or damage any of your accessories or furniture. You’ll need to clear some space for this to make sure that nobody gets injured – you don’t want an accidental head injury!

Indoor Obstacle Courses

It’s surprising what children can do with some standard household objects if you leave them to their own devices. Kids are very creative and they can create some pretty impressive obstacle courses with just some kitchen implements, cardboard boxes and old toys! Let your kids time each other to see who can complete the course the fastest and then try to beat their personal best time!

Indoor Basketball

Basketball is usually thought of as an outdoor game, but if you have the right equipment and accessories to hand you can play indoors too. There are basketball rings out on the market which can fit on the wall inside your child’s bedroom or on the back of a door. With the right soft ball suitable for indoor use, your child can practice shooting hoops to their heart’s content, honing their skills and wearing themselves out perfectly ready for bed! There’s more information on ballersguide.net to help you find the right indoor basketball equipment to suit your home.

Preschool Fun

If you have preschool children at home and are wondering how to keep them occupied during the long wet summer days, don’t worry – there are lots of ways in which you can keep those toddlers busy even on the longest, wettest day! Even better, these ideas will allow them to burn off some steam so they’ll sleep well at night, letting you have some adult time to yourself!

How about encouraging your child to think of as many different ways as possible to get across the room without jumping, walking or running. This will also help their physical motor skills. They might want to think about moving like different types of animal, rolling, hopping or skipping. Mini trampolines can also be used indoors as well as outdoors and they’re a brilliant way for small children to wear themselves out pretty quickly. After a few minutes of bouncing they’re often ready to sit down and watch a movie or listen to a story for a while. Of course, you’ll also be helping them to stay healthy and that’s always a good thing! The more active the better when it comes to little ones!

Hopefully, we’ve given you the inspiration you need to keep your little ones occupied all summer long, even if the weather takes a turn for the worst. As long as your children stay busy and active, they’ll stop bugging you to take them out and keep them entertained, and you can enjoy some parent-only time – who doesn’t want that! Enjoy your summer!
